Apple TV+ has recently dropped the highly anticipated official trailer for “Masters of the Air,” a compelling 9-part series that delves into the harrowing experiences of the 100th Bomb Group during World War II.

About The Series:

This riveting series, brought to you by the powerhouse trio of Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, renowned for their work on Band of Brothers and The Pacific, unfolds the untold stories of airmen who risked their lives for the greater good.

The narrative is steeped in courage, loss, and triumph, showcasing the brotherhood forged amidst the chaos of war.

Based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, and skillfully scripted by John Orloff, “Masters of the Air” follows the brave men of the 100th Bomb Group, famously known as the “Bloody Hundredth.”

As they embark on perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany, the series portrays the challenges they faced, including frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and the sheer terror of combat at 25,000 feet in the air.

At the core of the narrative is the psychological and emotional toll paid by these young men as they played a pivotal role in dismantling Hitler’s Third Reich.

Some were shot down and captured, others wounded or killed, and a few were fortunate enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, the toll exacted on each of them is a central theme in “Masters of the Air.
